Now this is what I call Spring riding. With Mammoth, Mother Nature doesn't necessarily adhere to norms of February-cold and April-warm. We've seen the snow fly here nearly every month of the year which is why it's no huge surprise to see a couple great storms roll though back-to-back in the past week. For many, such a weather cycle can be a bit of a nuisance. Not for us. Pow face shots are amazing any time of year and we now have renewed hope of an extended season. And, on top of everything, as the clouds move on, typical Mammoth bluebird skies will return, and the park crew will work their magic to sculpt the new fallen snow into the best set-up of the season. No doubt this is great place to be, now.
Well it's a new week and that means new updates to the site. Per usual we've added some great new photos to the gallery. The Pic of the Week speaks volumes about the good fortunes of the recent storms. The Clip of the Week is a perfect introduction to one of the latest targets of OPP cameras. Not to mention it's a great anticipatory look at the good times to come in the sunny springtime Cali. weather. Also, be sure to check out the latest addition to the SKIOPPS. We've added a Tim Russell profile page. Tim was with OPP right from the get-go. Now his smile and great style can be seen gracing the pages of many ski publications across the nation.
Well, right now the mountains of the Eastern Sierra are in prime condition so it's time to get out and get busy. We'll do our best to keep you posted on the latest OPP activities. Wherever you are, whatever your favorite springtime past-time may be, I hope the conditions are in your favor too. 'Til next time . . .
